The next morning, we got up bright and early to go eat breakfast with Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Since we had dinner separately, we wanted to catch up and visit. We also borrowed Adam's rental car and took a tour of the island until lunch. We tried to hit all the beaches. They are all so beautiful and unique. Here are a few of our pictures.
This is the Downyflake Doughnut shop/restaurant. Brad and I ate here on our first trip, and we said we would always go back on every trip we take to the island. It is absolutely wonderful! One of the funniest moments of our trip happened here. We all decided what we wanted to eat and went around the table telling the waitress our order. Paw Paw had requested to go last because he was having a hard time deciding on his meal. When we got around to him, the waitress asked him what he wanted. He ordered his meal and then tacked on the end of the sentence, "I also want a donut.......or maybe a blueberry pancake." The waitress stared at him thinking maybe he would say more to clarify his request, which he did not. So she finally answered him by saying, "You want just one blueberry pancake?" She was trying so hard to be sweet and grant his request, but we could all tell she was totally confused by his bizarre request, as was Paw Paw and the rest of our table. After a small awkward silence, Maw Maw spoke up and ordered him a sugar donut, and we all laughed really hard including the waitress. The meal was delivered promptly along with some really good coffee :) We ate almost every morsel!

After breakfast, we hit the road to see the beaches.
The rest of the afternoon we walked around downtown and shopped. Paw Paw and I tried to take a nap on the back porch, but some guy took 2 whole hours to mow a yard that should only take 15 minutes. We went to dinner that night and pretty much just hung out.
