In closing...

Well, we all made it home safe and sound and with a lot of great memories.  Brad and I had an awesome time on this trip, and I hope you guys had as much fun as we did.  Some of the things that I won't forget that may or may not have been mentioned before are the look on Maw Maw's face right before/after our flights, Paw Paw being so sweet and cooperative with us all, the seafood nachos, the provisions cookies, Paw Paw shooting straight off the rotary, Brad climbing through the skylight when we locked ourselves out, and all the laughs we shared.  There is something really special about a relationship like ours, and this kind of relationship is hard to find these days. We love you guys so much!  I hope you look back on this trip as fondly as we do.  A few more pictures to help you remember these fun days :)

Boston Bound

Before our flight home, we walked around Boston for a little bit, just to show Maw Maw and Paw Paw how pretty it is.  We also showed them the oldest Baptist church in the city, and we tried to go to Sunday service, but we only caught the invitation and benediction.  We ate lunch in a really nice area of the Boston Commons next to a frog pond.  The meal was surprisingly good!  Now it's home sweet home time...

Our Last Night/Departure Morning

Our last night on the island, we ate at the Rope Walk one more time for Maw Maw and Paw Paw.  We had lobster, some drinks, and some really good fellowship.  We then walked around town square one last time before we went back to get packed up to go home.

The lobster was fabulous!  So glad I experienced it before I left.

The next morning we got up bright and early to go catch the ferry back to Boston.  We wanted a little extra time to walk around Boston before we had to catch our afternoon flight home.  We took a few pictures outside our cottage before we left.  We were all a little sad to leave.  Even Paw Paw said he would be sad and that is really saying something.

We reminisced a lot standing in this ferry line.  We all said we would come back one day, and I hope that happens...

Separate Ways for the Day

The next day, we all decided that we would go our separate ways and do a few different things.  Maw Maw and Paw Paw did a walking tour of the city, and Brad and I went to the beach/lighthouse and then a microbrewery with Adam and Julie.  I wish Maw Maw and Paw Paw would have had a camera for me to steal some pictures, but they didn't.  I am going to include a few of our pictures of walking around each day to show some of the things they did, and then add the pictures of our afternoon with Adam and Julie.
Walking around the residential part

The Whaling Museum

One of my favorite lots on the whole island!  It's beautiful, and we got to pass it a few times a day going back and forth to our cottage.

Walking around some more...

A bird just chilling on the dock ;)

Catholic Church

The Methodist Church outside and inside.  It is beautiful!

We went to hang out on Great Point, played with a friendly baby seal, saw the lighthouse, and then headed to the brewery.
This is how close we got to the seal!  He was so friendly and cute!

He wanted to play with us so badly.

Adam waving bye bye the sweet seal ;)

Photo op

These baby sea gulls were just too stinking cute!

This is the prettiest lighthouse on the island, in my opinion!

Great Point Lighthouse

I think this picture is self-explanatory.  This was a really cool place.  People and dogs of all ages, sizes, and kinds came and hung out here to drink and listen to live music.

Touring the beer brewery

A little taste test?

Lots of barrels of beer :)

Getting ready to leave--What a really fun day!
